Protecting California from offshore oil drilling

As we speak, the Trump Administration is threatening to open California’s Coast up for unsafe offshore oil drilling. We must act to stop them!

That’s why CLCV stood alongside environmental champions, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and Senator Hannah Beth Jackson, to pass crucial state legislation to prevent Offshore Oil Drilling in state controlled waters.

But now the Trump Administration is trying to supersede California and enact policy rollbacks that undermine the safety and health of our iconic beaches and endanger our coastal economies.

Sign our petition today and urge your member of Congress to oppose any new oil drilling off of California’s coast!

Tell Congress: Stop offshore oil drilling! As Californians, we remember well the tragic oil spills that caused irreversible damage to ocean habitats, wildlife, fishing, and coastal communities who rely on beaches for their livelihoods.

Our members of Congress need to make it clear California’s coasts are off-limits to new offshore oil drilling.

Let your Representative know you oppose any expansion of offshore oil drilling. California needs to preserve our iconic beaches and natural resources; these are too precious to put at risk.

Thank you for making your voice heard and standing with us to stop Trump’s dirty energy agenda!
